Love and Marriage, but make it adventure
I don't normally shoot weddings, but I love a good elopement session! Especially when the couple requests Great Smoky Mountains National Park as their location. And when they ask if we can include a short hike to get some shots at their favorite waterfall?? Be still my heart.
GSMNP is my favorite place, and hiking is my favorite activity, so I was thrilled to meet a like-minded couple and spend the morning with them in the Smokies. We started out first thing in the morning with a few of my favorite spots in Cades Cove, catching a little big of morning fog while the sun was still behind the mountains. The happy couple embraced the honks from passing cars, and the shouts of "Congratulations!" coming out of their rolled down windows. Once we'd made our way around the loop shortcut, we headed over to a short waterfall hike. They hiked in their wedding attire and I felt lucky to get to tag along and capture photos of such a cool couple. They braved the high summer temps and humidity in their formal attire, and were rewarded with wading in the nice cold water when we reached the destination.
This might have been the best couples photo shoot ever, I hope it's not the last time I get to traipse all over my favorite national park with such an adventurous pair!
